DAAP Service

Students who receive Cincinnatus, UC|21, Global, or Dean's Scholarships must perform 30 hours of community service between September and June of each academic year. This kiosk provides a single source for the DAAP community to search for and submit projects that will help students get those hours. Any logged-on member of the DAAP community can use this site.

The agency that oversees the community service program is the UC Scholarship and New Student Center. Their guidelines for appropriate service projects come from the National and Community Service Act of 1990, which describes community service as "those services designed to improve the quality of life for community residents (general public), particularly low-income individuals, or solving problems related to their needs." Only projects that are true to those intentions should be submitted here.
