Visit the news section of the site for the latest additions and information. The two links above, "PORTFOLIO" and "RESUME" link to the online flash version of my portfolio and resume, respectively; in-print or PDF versions of these documents are available when necessary. The menu on the left contains the individual architecture project galleries that contain a comprehensive view of each project featured in the portfolio. The final section contains my photography work, something I believe is a very important aspect of my architectural studies; be sure to visit and see why.

The "Misc. Projects" gallery contains recent non-studio related work, such as competitions, historical analysis and a furniture design seminar. Some of the most recent studio projects are the "SEC Studio" and the "OTR Studio." SEC - structure, environment, construction - are the principals guiding the development of a Wellness retreat. The design of the building is currently in development, but the initial conceptual work can be observed in the gallery. The OTR (Over-the-Rhine) studio dealt with the renovation of an existing abandoned urban stable building into a residential property. The concepts of historical preservation and sustainable design were emphasized in the design, which was developed with the help of an Integrated Design Team funded by a government grant. The team consisted of architects, engineers, city officials, historians, and LEED accredited professionals, amongst others. The outcome of the project is a groundbreaking analysis of the interaction between historical preservation and sustainable development, and begins to explore ways in which they can both be applied.

Under the "Misc. Projects" section, several "green" architecture projects are available. These projects include thermal and lighting calculations, as well as example images of environmental controls and factors in architecture. Also under the "Misc. Projects" section is a structural analysis of Herzog & de Meuron's Beijing Olympic Stadium, viewable as a PDF. The Photography section includes a selection of architectural photographs I have taken over time. Feel free to contact me with any inquiries, via e-mail at: feinze@email.uc.edu.

All other portfolios include the studio work for a specific project. Each studio is a one quarter long (3 months) exploration of design. The Greenhills studio concerns large scale master planning; the Housing studio covers the development of a housing block as a team, and the individual design of a house; the Immersion studio was the first building design - a library. The first year studio consists of a various selection of projects that intended to harness the exploration of what design is - they are foundation projects with specific focuses and intents. Thank you for your interest in my architecture portfolio.
